Privacy Policy

How AAA Pro Movers collects, uses, shares, and protects your information — and the rights you have over it.

Effective May 1, 2026 · Last updated May 1, 2026

The short version
  • We collect what we need to quote, schedule, and perform your move — your contact details, your pickup and delivery addresses, an inventory of what you're moving, and payment information.
  • We share information with the crews, carriers, storage facilities, and software vendors that help us do the job, and with advertising platforms such as Google and Meta so we can measure and target our ads.
  • We do not sell your information for money. Sharing data with ad platforms may count as a "sale" or "sharing" under California law, so you can opt out at any time.
  • We text and email you about your move — confirmations, arrival windows, receipts. We don't send marketing texts.
  • California residents can ask us what we have, get a copy, correct it, delete it, and opt out of ad-related sharing. See Your California privacy rights.

AAA Pro Movers ("AAA Pro Movers," "we," "us," or "our") is a moving and storage company based in San Diego, California. This policy explains what personal information we collect when you visit aaapromovers.com, request an estimate, or hire us for a move; how we use and share it; how long we keep it; and the choices and rights you have — including the rights California residents have under the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act ("CCPA/CPRA").

1. Who this policy covers

This policy applies to people who use our website, contact us for a quote, book or receive moving or storage services, and to the people whose information a customer gives us in connection with a move — for example a co-resident, a landlord or property manager, or a person authorized to receive a delivery. It also applies to information we receive about you when you interact with our ads or social media pages.

Job applicants and employees: information you give us for employment purposes is handled under our separate applicant and employee privacy notice, available on request.

2. Information we collect

The table below lists the categories of personal information we collect, using the categories named in California law, along with examples of what we actually collect as a moving company.

Category What we collect
Identifiers and contact information Your name, phone number, email address, current address, and the origin and destination addresses for your move.
Commercial information Your estimate and job details, move date, crew and truck assigned, services purchased (packing, storage, specialty items), an inventory list and any photos or video you send us of your belongings, signed estimates and bills of lading, invoices, tips, claims, and payment records.
Financial information Billing address and the last four digits and expiration date of a payment card. Full card numbers are entered into and stored by our payment processor; we do not keep them.
Internet and device activity IP address, browser and device type, pages viewed on aaapromovers.com, referring links and search terms, and advertising and analytics identifiers set by cookies and similar technologies.
Geolocation data Approximate location inferred from your IP address, and the service addresses you give us. We may also use route and truck-location data during your move.
Audio and visual information Recordings of calls with our office when we tell you the call is recorded, voicemail, your signature, and photos taken at pickup or delivery to document condition.
Inferences Estimated move size, likelihood you need packing or storage, and similar conclusions we draw to price and staff the job and to target our advertising.

Sensitive personal information. We do not ask for sensitive personal information such as government ID numbers, precise geolocation of your person, racial or ethnic origin, religion, health information, or the contents of your private communications. If you volunteer something sensitive — for example a disability that affects access at your home, or a photo of a document during an inventory — we use it only to perform the move and for the purposes California law permits without an option to limit, and we do not use or disclose it to infer characteristics about you.

3. How we collect it

4. How we use your information

We use your information only for the purposes described here and for compatible purposes you would reasonably expect. If we ever need it for something materially different, we will tell you first.

5. Cookies and tracking technologies

aaapromovers.com uses cookies, pixels, tags, and similar technologies. Some are strictly necessary — they keep forms working, remember your session, and protect against abuse. Others are analytics cookies that tell us which pages people read and where quote requests come from, and advertising cookies and pixels set by Google and Meta that let us measure ad performance and show you our ads on other sites and apps.

You can control cookies through your browser settings, including blocking or deleting them; strictly necessary cookies cannot be turned off without breaking parts of the site. You can also opt out of interest-based advertising at the industry pages run by the Digital Advertising Alliance and the Network Advertising Initiative, and in your Google and Meta ad settings.

Global Privacy Control. Our website treats an opt-out preference signal sent by your browser or extension, such as the Global Privacy Control, as a valid request to stop sharing your personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising from that browser.

6. Who we share information with

We disclose personal information for business purposes to:

We do not disclose your information to unrelated third parties for their own marketing.

7. Advertising, and your opt-out

We advertise on Google and Meta (Facebook and Instagram). To do that, we let those platforms place cookies and pixels on our website, and we may upload contact information such as an email address or phone number so a platform can match it to an account and show you or people like you our ads. This helps us reach households that are actually moving, and tells us which ads produce quote requests.

We do not sell your personal information for money. California law defines "selling" and "sharing" broadly, though, and our use of advertising cookies and audience uploads is treated as sharing personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising — and may be treated as a sale. The categories involved are identifiers and contact information, commercial information, internet and device activity, approximate geolocation, and inferences. We do not sell or share the personal information of anyone we know to be under 16.

Do not sell or share my personal information

Use the "Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information" link in the footer of aaapromovers.com, enable Global Privacy Control in your browser, email aaapromovers@aaapromovers.com, or call us. We honor opt-out preference signals automatically and act on emailed or written requests within 15 business days. No account is required, and we will not ask you to create one.

8. Calls, texts, and email

When you give us your phone number, we and our crews may call or text you about your estimate and your move — scheduling, arrival windows, delays, delivery coordination, payment, and follow-up on a claim. These are transactional messages, not marketing. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to any text to stop texts; we may still need to reach you by phone or email about an active job.

We record some calls to our office for quality and accuracy of estimates, and we tell you at the start of the call when we do. Emails we send about your move include confirmations, receipts, and paperwork; each non-essential email includes an unsubscribe link.

9. How long we keep information

We keep personal information only as long as we need it for the purpose we collected it, plus the period our legal, tax, and insurance obligations require. In practice:

Information Typical retention
Quote requests that never became a job 24 months from your last contact with us
Move files: estimates, bills of lading, inventories, invoices At least 4 years after the move, longer where carrier or tax rules require
Condition photos and inventory photos 18 months after the move, or until a claim is resolved
Recorded calls and voicemail 12 months
Payment records (no full card numbers) 7 years
Claims and disputes Duration of the matter plus the applicable limitations period
Website analytics and advertising identifiers Up to 14 months, per platform defaults

When a retention period ends we delete the information or de-identify it so it can no longer be linked to you.

10. How we protect information

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards suited to a business of our size: encrypted connections on our website, access limited to the office staff and crew members who need it, password and device controls on company accounts, locked storage for paper files, and vendors who are contractually required to protect what we send them. Card payments are handled by a PCI-compliant processor, so full card numbers never enter our systems.

No system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee the security of information transmitted over the internet. Please don't email us documents containing a Social Security number, a full account number, or an image of a government ID — we don't need them for a move.

11. Your California privacy rights

If you are a California resident, the CCPA/CPRA gives you the rights below. We will not deny you service, charge you a different price, or give you a lower level of quality because you exercised them.

How to submit a request. Email aaapromovers@aaapromovers.com, write to us at the address in section 15, or call our office. Please tell us which right you are exercising and give us enough detail — typically the name, phone number, email address, and move address you used with us — that we can match your request to our records. We will confirm receipt within 10 business days and respond within 45 calendar days, extending once by another 45 days if we need more time and telling you why.

Authorized agents. Someone may submit a request for you if you give them written permission; we may ask you to verify directly that you authorized the request, and we may ask the agent for proof of authority.

Shine the Light. California Civil Code § 1798.83 lets residents ask about personal information shared with third parties for their own direct marketing. We do not share information that way, but you may send a request to the address below.

12. Children's privacy

Our website and services are for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13, and we do not direct any part of aaapromovers.com to children. Household information a parent gives us in the course of a move may incidentally mention a child; we use it only to perform the move. If you believe a child under 13 has given us personal information, email aaapromovers@aaapromovers.com and we will delete it.

aaapromovers.com links to other websites — review platforms, payment pages, mapping tools, social media, and industry resources. Those sites are run by other companies with their own privacy practices, and this policy does not cover them. Please read their policies before giving them information.

14. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as our business, our tools, or the law changes. When we do, we will change the "Last updated" date at the top and post the new version on aaapromovers.com. If the changes materially affect how we use information we already hold, we will give you notice — by email or a notice on the site — before they take effect. Continuing to use our website or services after an update means you accept the revised policy.
